Glenn Buchanan, DDS, PS

Dr. G. Glenn Buchanan finds tremendous joy in bringing out the healthy, beautiful smiles in patients of all ages.

Dr. Buchanan earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine, and his DDS from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington DC. With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Buchanan incorporates his expertise and current technology to provide his patients with the best in family, cosmetic, emergency, and comprehensive dentistry. He is a member of local and national dental societies and actively participates in continuing dental education.

Dr. Buchanan and his family relocated to Seattle from Southern California in 1992 and founded Gateway Dental Centre of Seattle that same year, followed by Reflections Dental Centre in West Seattle in 2005. Dr. Buchanan and his wife enjoy traveling to see their children and experiencing the beautiful Washington scenery while skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking with their beloved dog, Jack.

Tyler Buchanan, DDS

Family and General Dentist

Dr. Tyler Buchanan is a native of the Seattle area, and he loves practicing dentistry alongside his father Dr. Glenn Buchanan and the entire Reflections Dental Centre team.

Dr. Tyler pursued his undergraduate degree at Rice University in Houston, TX, where he graduated in 2013. It was there he realized that dentistry would allow him to blend his strong science foundation and critical thinking ability into a career that is centered on patient care. He decided that dentistry was the career for him, and he continued his studies at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. After graduating in 2017, he elected to return to Houston for a two-year General Practice Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center. As the Chief Resident at UT Houston, he expanded the scope of his practice to include many oral surgery and advanced restorative dentistry procedures. Also critical to his program was providing emergency dental care at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Houston’s Level 1 Trauma Center. His most rewarding experiences were providing care to patients with special needs who had difficulty being seen in a traditional dental setting. Dr. Tyler returned to Seattle in 2019.

The Pacific Northwest is home for Dr. Tyler. He is involved with local dental societies, and he applies what he learns to the care he provides here at Reflections. On his days off, you’ll likely find him taking part in the vast array of outdoor recreation that Washington has to offer. He loves hiking, mountain biking, and paddle boarding in the summer, but his favorite activity is downhill skiing in the winter!

Albert Kuo, DDS

Specialist in Endodontics

Dr. M. Albert Kuo, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine with a specialist certificate in Endodontics. He has received many awards, including an Outstanding Proficiency Award for his achievements in the Endodontic program. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Kuo has over 20 years of experience in dentistry, of which 15 years have been devoted to Endodontics. He strives to stay up to date with the latest technologies and advancements in technique within the dental community. Dr. Kuo invests a significant amount of his time in continuing and ongoing education to stay updated and to refine his skills.

Sofia Petrov, DDS, MSD

Specialist In Periodontics

After earning Honors in Cell and Molecular Biology from University of Washington, Sofia D. Petrov continued on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr Petrov further enriched her professional career by successfully completing her post-graduate training in Periodontics and earning her Masters of Science in Dentistry from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. A Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Petrov is not only a practicing periodontist and dental implant surgeon, but she is actively involved in teaching and research as well. For her outstanding performance she was chosen to present twice at the annual meetings of American Academy of Periodontology in 2011 in Miami, FL and 2013 in Philadelphia, PA.

She believes that in order to provide the best care for her patients, interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning is the key. With that said, in treating her patients, Dr. Petrov always remembers that “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care” (John C. Maxwell) – an ideal instilled in her by an inspiring professor.

Dr Petrov and her husband, Alex, reside in Woodinville, Wa with their sons, Oscar and Henry, and daughter, Sarah. In her free time she practices yoga to achieve more harmony in her life and to radiate it to others.

Kristin M. Ozimek, DMD

Family and General Dentist

Dr. Kristin Ozimek is committed to provide high quality care in a comfortable environment. She is also a strong proponent of minimally invasive dentistry and preventative care; a skill she mastered while in the Air Force.

Dr. Ozimek received her undergraduate degree from Whitworth University in Washington. She received the President’s Cup Award for the highest GPA and was on the Whitworth Track and Cross-Country team. Dr. Ozimek then received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from University of Pennsylvania. She graduated in the top 15% of her class.

While in the Air Force, Dr. Ozimek received an Air Force Commendation Metal, and a Company Grade Officer of the Quarter Award from July – September 2017. Dr. Ozimek has also volunteered her time by providing free dental care at the Crossroads Dental Clinic in Valparaiso, Florida, and in other Remote Area Medical Clinics in Florida.

When Dr. Ozimek is not helping her patients, you can find her running, hiking, biking, and spending time with her husband and their child.
